Steps away from the threshold
Past separated from the present
Life opened a new chapter:
One filled with strange places,
And people of slight significance

And there he stands still
He seems unburdened by time
Change is surrounding him unnoticed
Passive look in his eyes,
Thoughts begin to sink in

In silence she watches him
Seeing the pain nobody does
Conscious that his apathy facades:
Fear which has consumed him
That mystifies falling in love
